The winners in the second annual Council Grounds State Park Photo Contest were announced at the candlelight walk held at the Park on Oct. 29. The top two winners in the four categories are as follows:
•People Using The Park: 1st place – Rebecca Raasch, Merrill; 2nd place – Sharon Lee, Merrill
•Wildlife: 1st place – Ashley Kloth, Merrill; 2nd place – Eileen Hass, Merrill
•Landscape: 1st place – Ken Erickson, Waupaca; 2nd place – Thomas Dotter, Merrill
•Plants: 1st place – Thomas Dotter, Merrill; 2nd place – Debra Bergh, Merrill
There were a lot of great entries this year. The photo contest is organized by the Park’s Friends Group and the final winners were determined by public voting. The group invites everyone to continue to come out and enjoy the park and take photos. Watch for details in the spring about next year’s contest.
