David M. Hoff

David M. Hoff, 37, of Merrill went home to Jesus on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at UW Health, Madison surrounded by his loving family.  He was a loving husband, and a perfect father of four beautiful girls.

Born November 10, 1978, in Merrill, Dave was the son of Michael Hoff and Karla (Fox) Yorde.  He graduated Merrill High School in 1997, and attended college in Minnesota.  He married Molly Neumann in Merrill on August 4, 2001.

David was a part-owner and founder of Lubrication Consultants, Inc., the business he worked for.  He enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball, football, basketball and golf which eventually led to his coaching his four daughters as they continued his love of sports.  Dave loved watching college football and anything Wisconsin Badgers.

Dave adored his four girls and his life revolved around them. His quiet confidence and calm demeanor was always evident and his daughters were always number one. From his first day as a father to his last Dave was as hands on a father as you will ever find. Holding one girl in one arm, while changing a diaper and giving a life lesson to another, there was nothing he couldn’t handle or parenting challenge he wouldn’t embrace. Anyone who was fortunate to have an opportunity to get to know Dave, play on a sports team with (or against) Dave, a business colleague, is fortunate to have known the most kind hearted, caring person – and we are all fortunate to have him make an impact on our lives.

David is survived by his wife, Molly and four daughters, Emma, Avery, Grace and Lily; his parents Michael (Suzy) Hoff and Karla (Dennis) Yorde; his in-laws Mike and Kathy Neumann; brothers and sisters Danno (Amber) Hoff, Derek (Kim) Hoff, Drew Hoff, Desirae Hoff, Katie (Ryan) Thurman, and Jake Yorde; brother and sister in-laws Dan and Jenny Wendorf; grandparents Harold and Marlene Fox and Bob and Izzy Hoff; step-grandparents Marion and Lavern Yorde; nieces and nephews Sophie and Cooper Wendorf, Maya and Zoe Hoff, Harper and Violet Hoff, Grady and Ellie Thurman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by step-grandparents Don and Violet Taylor.

Services for Dave will be 11am, Friday, November 11, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 107 N State Street, in Merrill.  Pastor Scott Gustafson will officiate.  Family and friends can visit from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 10, 2016 and again from 9am until the time of the services on Friday at the church.  The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com.
