Merrill Police Reports

October 21
3:15 a.m.- A caller reported someone broke into his garage sometime overnight and found a couple of items stolen.
12:18 p.m.- A caller reported a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex. It was found the male and female tenants had a loud, verbal argument. They agreed to cease their loud yelling and vulgarities.
7:54 p.m.- A caller reported someone had spray painted a neighbor’s vacant residence with graffiti.

October 22
1:58 a.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle for displaying a false registration plate. The 19-year-old driver was found to have been drinking and was also transporting intoxicants. He was cited for operating after revocation, underage drinking and displaying false registration. He was warned for non-registration and transporting intoxicants.
11:16 a.m.- A caller reported a female was attempting to gain access to her vehicle. She reported the female had a set of keys and seemed confused. Officers were unable to locate the female in question. Approximately 20 minutes later, the caller reported the female was once again in the neighborhood. Contact was made with the woman who was looking for her vehicle. It was found to have been towed 20 days prior. She was put in contact with the tow company to discuss getting her vehicle back.
12:14 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. A passenger was found to have warrants for his arrest through Marathon County. He was arrested for the warrants.
9:04 p.m.- A caller reported she had been pushed by a neighbor. The caller reported the neighbor’s cat had escaped her apartment and she prevented the cat from exiting the apartment complex. The suspect began yelling and swearing at the caller and flicked a cigarette butt toward her. The caller confronted the neighbor about her behavior at which point she was pushed. The suspect refused to speak to officers about her version of events. She was cited for disorderly conduct.

October 23
2:42 a.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle for operating without head lamps lit. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was on probation. The man was arrested for a probation violation and cited for operating after suspension.
3:37 p.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to have a revoked driver’s license. He was also found to have warrant for his arrest through Merrill PD. He was arrested for the warrant and cited for operating after revocation (4th or more offense) and operating without insurance.
