North Pines Genealogy Group presents Heritage Fair

North Pines Genealogy Group will hold a Heritage Fair in the Community Room on the lower level of the T.B. Scott Library, Merrill, on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The public is invited to celebrate the group’s milestones accomplished this past year. You are encouraged to visit the History and Genealogy Room on the 3rd floor to see the wide range of research material and view the display cases with the recently added artifacts and material covering Family Holiday Traditions. This display will remain up until January 2017.

During the Heritage Fair, a celebration of the following will be on display in the Community Room:
•Germans to America Books, Series 1 and Series 11, total of 74 volumes [2007-2016] [located in the History and Genealogy Room]
•Krueger-Wistein Funeral Books (pending indexing/scanning project)
•Trinity Lutheran Books, 1885 to 1991, 9847 records (two books)
•Lincoln Co Cemetery info, CD update
•Scanning/Indexing of Scrapbooks
•Indexing of Town of Scott Book
•Revised Index of Lincoln County 1st 100 B, M, D records
•Lincoln County Civil War, 1861-1865
•Lincoln County Hero’s of WW1, 1914-1918
•Veterans Buried in Lincoln County Cemeteries
•North Pines Genealogy Group Scrapbook
•NPGG membership family histories and artifacts

Refreshments including cake, coffee, non-alcohol champagne, snack, cheese, crackers, sausage, veggies/dip will be served in the Community Room.

Featured speaker will be George Findlin PhD, CG, CGL, speaking on French Canadian Ancestors from 12:30-2:45 p.m. in the Community Room.

Members of NPGG will be on hand to answer questions. This event is open to the public.
