David D. Haring

David D. Haring, age 84, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.  Dave was born August 9, 1932, in Merrill, WI, to the late Richard and Pauline (VanStrydonk) Haring.  He was married to Kathy Buss on October 2, 1965; she survives.

 

Dave graduated from Green Bay East High School.  After graduation, he honorably served in the United States Army.   An active community member, Dave was a former Tomahawk Alderman and proud member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV.  Dave felt privileged to participate in the Never Forgotten Honor Flight experience in the spring of 2013.  He enjoyed deer and grouse hunting, playing horseshoes and cribbage, and selling raffle tickets.  In his earlier years, he managed the Harrison Baseball Team.  Dave was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan.

 

Survivors include his Wife, Kathy Haring, of Tomahawk; His Son, Kevin (Stacey) Haring, of Tomahawk; 1 Daughter, Heidi Haring, of Milwaukee; 2 Brothers, John Haring, of Heafford Junction, and Dan (Lolita) Haring, of Nokomis. He is further survived by his Special Grandson/Exchange Student, Waji; his “furry” Grandchild, Phoenix; and many Nieces and Nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Richard and Pauline; 9 Brothers, Francis, Ben, Vic, Ted, George, Al, Emil, Pete and Clem; and 2 Sisters, Marge and Rose.

 

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, at 11:30 AM.  Rev. Louis Reddy Maramreddy will officiate.  The family will receive friends for Visitation on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Generations Funeral Home, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, from 10:30 AM until the time of Services at 11:30.  Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison.  Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.  View Dave’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.
