Kriss K. Kniess, 49 of Gleason-was charged September 13 with Felony-Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense.
According to court records, Kniess was involved in an incident in rural Lincoln County on September 13 during which his vehicle was reportedly found parked in the roadway facing the opposite direction on CTH X, in the town of Schley. A responding deputy reportedly found Kniess unconscious in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and upon awaking him, Kniess reportedly displayed signs indicative of alcohol impairment including slurred speech and glassy eyes. Kniess reportedly refused to submit to field sobriety testing, but did submit to a Preliminary Breath Test which yielded a breath alcohol result of .189.
