As the result of an ongoing investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Kevin Short, Merrill High School Band Director, has been placed on a non-disciplinary paid administrative leave pending the outcome of said investigation, MAPS Superintendent Dr. John Sample announced Tuesday.
Short and the district are cooperating to the fullest extent with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department during its investigation, Sample stated.
Elli Wilk, Elementary Music Teacher, will lead marching band students this summer during Short’s leave of absence.
