Charges filed Lincoln County Circuit Court

Andy I. Melquist-61 of Tomahawk, was charged July 25 with 3rd Offense-Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated.
According to court records, Melquist was involved in an incident in the City of Tomahawk on the evening of June 2 during which he was reportedly found to be operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state, following a citizen complaint. Melquist had two prior OWI convictions and upon contact with a Tomahawk officer, reoportedly displayed extremely slurred speech and was barely audible. Prior to contact with Melquist, the officer reportedly observed the vehicle Melquist was operating backing out of a parking stall and attempted to gain his attention by waving his hands and verbally asking Melquist to stop. Melquist reportedly looked at the officer and continued operating the vehicle, leading to a traffic stop of Melquist’s vehicle a short time later. Melquist registered a Breath Alcohol Content reading of .154 prior to being taken into custody.

Tim Osness-37 of Merrill, was charged July 25 with Misdemeanor charges of Domestic Violence Related Battery-Infliction of Pain and Injury and Domestic Violence related Criminal Damage to Property.
According to court records, Osness was reportedly involved in an incident in rural Lincoln County in the early morning hours of July 24 during which he was reportedly involved in an altercation with another party. During the altercation, Osness reporedly pushed and tackled the victim as well as smashing a kitchen table  and chairs. The victim reportedly sustained scrapes as a result of the incident.
