Altercation leads to domestic violence charge for Merrill teen

On the evening of Wednesday July 6, a Merrill officer responded to a report of a parent with a disorderly teenager at the Merrill Police Department. According to officer notes, upon arrival contact was made with 17-year-old Selena Flores and her parent. Flores’ parent advised Selena had become enraged due to not being allowed to stay later at her birthday party with friends. Selena reportedly began screaming, cursing and striking the windows of the vehicle she was a passenger in.
Upon contact with Selena, her behavior continued toward the officer despite being asked to quiet down several times due to being in a residential area. Flores’ behavior continued prompting additional warnings of being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Flores’ behavior continued and she resisted officer’s attempts to take her into custody.
Flores was eventually taken into custody on charges of Domestic Violence related Disorderly Conduct and Resisting an Officer.
