Kolor Run draws a crowd in second year

The second annual Community Kolor Run for United Way drew about 700 participants, which is slightly down from last year. With all the other local events going on last weekend, Kolor Run coordinator Becci Shuman said she was pleased with the turnout.

Walkers and runners proceeded through seven color stations on a course that featured the River Bend Trail. The route began and ended at Riverside Athletic Club, which sponsors and organizes the event as a fundraiser for Merrill United Way. Shuman said the event draws a good mix of local and visiting participants and has become a family activity for many.
