Merrill Police reports

February 12
4:16 p.m.- An officer responded to a parochial school for a drug activity complaint. Upon entry into the school, the officer detected the smell of burnt marijuana. Numerous teens that were suspected to be involved were spoken to and two admitted to smoking marijuana inside the school. These teens were at the school participating in a driver’s education course and not enrolled in that school. Charges are pending.
10 p.m.- An officer responded to Good Samaritan Hospital for a child abuse complaint. Information was obtained about the incident, an investigation was conducted, and a male party was arrested.
February 13
6:34 p.m.- Officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint. A juvenile had spit in their mothers face and left the residence. The juvenile returned home and it was determined the juvenile was acting out because they wanted to be removed from the home. The child was left in the care of the mother for the evening.
February 14
7:34 a.m.- An officer responded to a vehicle that was stuck in a snowbank. The male driver was inside the vehicle and showed signs of impairment. After an investigation, the male driver was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated, 4th offense.
12:53 p.m.- Officers received an anonymous call that a male party with a warrant was at his mother’s residence. The residence was checked and the male was not there. At 5:49 p.m., another anonymous call was made about the same male party being at Walmart. The vehicle registered to the male party was located leaving Walmart and a traffic stop was conducted. The male was arrested for the warrant.
