Peggy was retired from Northern Wire in Merrill and also worked at Loed in Wausau.

Peggy lived a life filled with laughter. As a young girl, she and her sisters and brothers romped around the Woodruff Fish Hatchery catching frogs to sell to visitors to feed to the muskies. As a young woman living in Milwaukee, she delighted in visiting Samson the gorilla at the zoo. In her early married years, she and Willard belonged to a dance club. She took joy in sewing a new dress for each dance and would often finish it as Willard was warming up the car.

She adored playing bridge and all the ladies she played bridge with. She was a member of several area bridge clubs.  She took great pleasure in gardening, taking care of the Ice Age Trail, and spending time outdoors watching Sandhill Cranes and kayaking. Peggy enjoyed organizing quilt weekends for the women in the family and creating gorgeous works of art.

Peggy was an amazing hostess and was fabulous at entertaining family and friends and creating fantastic feasts for all to enjoy. Peggy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Peggy’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2016. Father Chris Kemp will officiate. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
