John P. Renn

John P. Renn, age 86, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.

John was born on April 6, 1929 in Harrison to Henry & Wilhelmina (Schoone) Renn. John was a hard working farmer and woods worker. He married Estelle VanHarpen on June 25, 1953 in Tomahawk. Together, John & Estelle had ten children. John was a dealer for Badger Northland Equipment & Rochester Silo. He also was the Lincoln County Farm Family of the Year. John loved square dancing, snowmobiling, going to auctions and playing cards. He was a faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison.

John is survived by his wife, Estelle, of Harrison; children, Mark (Lee) Renn of Denver, Norbert (Richelle) Renn of Rhinelander, Joan (Ted) Ballweg of Viroqua, Karen (Vince) Ippolito of Scottsdale, AZ, Marlene (John) Mauer of Salt Lake City, UT, Beverly (Mark) Hanke of Scottsdale, AZ, Jack (Linda) Renn of Harrison, Sheryl (Dr. Jeff) Chism of Merrill, Lori Lechleitner of Michigan; brothers, Henry Renn of Appleton, Peter (Kathy) Renn of Harrison, Paul Renn of Harrison; sisters, Wilhelmina (Gerald) Roberts of Tomahawk, Sister Frances Renn of New Jersey, Isabel (Neal) Olkives of Rib Lake and Mary (George) Sladek of Merrill. John is further survived by 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter – Marie, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

The Mass of Christian Burial for John Renn will take place at Noon on Friday, February 5 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. Fr. Louis Reddy Maramreddy will officiate. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 4 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of Vigil service at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue at the church from 11:00AM until the time of Mass at 12:00Noon. Burial will follow Mass at St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison.
