In accordance with WI State Statute 301.46(2m), it has been determined the attached information on Jamie Schwartz should be released to the local media. On 01/21/2016, Mr. Schwartz will be relocated to 402 Liberty Street in the City of Merrill. The re-location has been approved by the Department of Corrections and the Merrill Police Department. He is NOT wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Sex Offenders have always lived in our communities; but it is was not until the WI Sex Offender Registry and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community.

Release Update: Mr. Schwartz was released back to Lincoln County on 9/22/2015, which was his county of residence at the time of his conviction. Mr. Schwartz remains on supervision with the WI Department of Corrections until 09/26/2030. Mr. Schwartz is on Intensive Supervision, and is subject to the WI Department of Corrections Global Positioning System (GPS). Offense Summary: In Milwaukee County, Mr. Schwartz sexually assaulted a 5 year old female acquaintance. In Lincoln County, Mr. Schwartz sexually assaulted a 12 year old female relative.
