Park City Credit Union celebrates opening of additional Merrill east location

Following construction of a brand new, 1,200 square foot building, Park City Credit Union opened its Merrill east location on Dec. 14, 2015. The branch is located between South Pine Ridge Avenue and Lee’s Piggly Wiggly. The customer entrance is on the east side of the building, facing Piggly Wiggly.
“We’re very excited about our new branch and being part of the growth on Merrill’s east side,” said PCCU President/CEO Val Mindak.
The east side branch features a full-service drive-though and lobby, offering the ability to apply for a loan or open a new account right at this location, six days a week. Along with deposits and withdrawals, customers can open new accounts and find full lending and commercial services at the branch.
The lobby and drive-up are open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
The Saturday lobby hours are new to PCCU and unique to the east side branch. All service that are available on weekdays will also be available on Saturday mornings.
Along with offering the full spectrum of online banking services, PCCU is also expanding on its in-person service locations.
“We’re not just moving toward driving our members to online services, we want to ensure that we have a strong member service experience and expanding our footprint in Merrill allows us the opportunity to deliver convenient products and service to our members where it is convenient for them,” Mindak said.
Park City Credit Union continues its rapid growth in the Northwoods, now with seven locations in Merrill, Tomahawk, Rhinelander and Minocqua. The east side Merrill branch follows the opening of their Dave’s County Market branch, which opened in August of 2015.
Park City Credit Union owns property at the southeast corner of the Hwy. 64/Pine Ridge Avenue intersection. The credit union is still in the planning process for how to best utilize that location, Mindak said. However, in the meantime, PCCU saw an immediate need to provide services on Merrill’s east side, she added.
“We’re in the planning process of deciding what the future will be at that location,” she said. “But we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to get out here and serve our members on the east side.”
