Carl G. Frick

Carl G. Frick, age 77, of the Tomahawk area, died Monday, December 28, 2015, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Carl was born March 3, 1938, in Merrill, son of the late Rheinhold and Alvina Frick. He married Lissette Hoff of August 27, 1960, in Merrill, and she survives. Carl had been employed at Lincoln Hills School for 26 years as a Youth Counselor. Carl enjoyed playing cards, snowmobiling in his younger years, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his weekend breakfast crew. In the 1960’s, Carl raced stock cars at the Tomahawk Speedway and also at State Park Speedway in Wausau. Carl had served in the Wisconsin National Guard. For several years Carl and Lissette operated a ‘canteen truck’ and volunteered their time with the Little Rice Fire Department as well as other fire departments.

Survivors include his wife, Lissette Frick of Tomahawk; and one sister, Rose Reichelt of Wausau. Besides his parents, Carl is preceded in death by one sister, Grace Leopold.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. The Rev. Missy Holdorf will officiate. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
