Merrill Police Department reports

December 14
7:42 p.m.- Officer went to an apartment to attempt contact with a female that had warrants for arrest through Probation & Parole and the Merrill Police Department. The female was located and arrested for those warrants.
10:42 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle after finding the registered owner had a revoked driver’s license and a warrant for her arrest through Probation & Parole. The registered owner was not in the vehicle, however, a passenger also had a warrant for his arrest through Probation & Parole. He was arrested for the warrant and methamphetamine was found in his pocket. Officers located additional methamphetamine, scale and gem bags in a bag in the vehicle belonging to the driver. The driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and bail jumping. The passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and the warrant. The passenger stated he did not want any people in his residence while he was incarcerated. He consented to officers entering his residence. Officers located a female inside who had a warrant for her arrest as well as a male. The male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole, the female was arrested for her warrant. Officer also located additional drug paraphernalia in the residence. Some stolen property was recovered inside as well.
December 15
2:43 a.m.- A caller reported a road sign lying in the roadway. It was found a vehicle had left the roadway striking the sign. The vehicle left the scene. Based on pieces of the vehicle left at the scene the vehicle is silver in color and would have front end damage.
8:31 a.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of Probation & Parole.
9:22 a.m.- A store reported a female in the store earlier they suspected had shoplifted. After reviewing surveillance video it was confirmed she had been shoplifting. Her identity is known. The officer will be attempting contact with the suspect.
9:26 a.m.- A caller reported someone had stolen money from her purse while it was at her place of employment. Further investigation to be completed.
December 16
11:23 a.m.- An officer investigated a theft complaint in the 1000 block of East 1st Street. The investigation continues.
7:13 p.m.- An officer investigated a Fraud complaint. The investigation is ongoing.
December 17
11:54 a.m.- A male was arrested in the 500 block of Center Avenue for multiple outstanding warrants.
5:27 p.m.- An officer investigated a theft complaint in the 100 block of State Street. The investigation was in reference to multiple unlawful transactions using the victim’s bank account and is ongoing.
