The Bluejay boys basketball team held a lead for much of Friday’s home game with Wausau East, but the Lumberjacks surged ahead late, then held off Merrill with excellent crunch-time free throw shooting. East pulled out a 40-37 triumph.
Merrill held a 24-17 halftime lead with a strong finish to intermission.
