Christmas cards help spread cheer

The Holy Cross Sisters Office of Communications and Holy Cross Associates have teamed up for the past nine years in providing cheer to the students at Lincoln Hills/Copper Lake School in Irma. Once again this year, 275 Christmas cards have been prepared to distribute to the students at Christmas. Donna Nash, Foster Grandparent Supervisor, oversees the Foster Grandparent Program which places older adults where their support and lifetime of experience will make a difference.
Russ Mancl, Director of Communications for the Holy Cross Sisters, said, “We found the need to get involved when Sister Benedicta Berger took part in the Foster Grandparent Program. We thought this was a great way to honor her volunteerism and also spread Christmas cheer to the students. It’s one way of making a difference with special messages of encouragement included in the Christmas cards. We could not accomplish this without the help of the Holy Cross Associates in the Merrill area.”
