The current Community ArtShare display at T.B. Scott Free Library pays tribute to our fellow countrymen who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.
Through October, GI Joe military dioramas will be displayed on the library’s second floor. Each diorama features 12-inch high human figures, fully clad in authentic military uniform and gear.
Each week a new display will go up, so the exhibit is constantly changing. Each diorama pays tribute to a particular war or conflict in which the United States military was engaged, including the Revolutionary War, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Each display was created, in part, by 10-year-old Grant Sincok and 9-year-old Tyler Johnson, and are sponsored by Electronic and Computer Solutions, LLC, of Wausau. The GI Joe military dioramas created by Sincok and Johnson have received a Guard And Reserve Support Award signed by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

The library’s “Beyond Books: Community ArtShare” features a new exhibit every two months on an ongoing basis. The program was made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Mead Witter Foundation, Inc. of Wisconsin Rapids.
