Church Mutual raises over $137,000 for United Way

Church Mutual Insurance Company’s support of the United Way once again reached an all-time high as the combination of employee contributions and the corporate match brought in a total of $137,864.08.
Church Mutual’s United Way contributions over the past eight years now total more than $712,000.
“This year’s employee campaign at Church Mutual Insurance Company was unbelievable,” Merrill United Way Executive Director Dee Olsen said. “This company and its employees are essential to the success of our local United Way.
“They have shown deep, heartfelt commitment to the community, the agencies served by United Way and the people who need support — families, children, neighbors and friends,” she continued. “There is no way to do justice to our deep appreciation for all that Church Mutual employees do and for the lives they touch.”
As employees celebrated the week of Sept. 14-18 with a Hollywood theme, a number of fun activities garnered a total of 631 out of 762 employee donations at the Merrill office. The last time participation was over 80 percent was five years ago.
“Our employees really stepped up to make a record-breaking monetary contribution,” said Church Mutual Chief Executive Officer Mike Ravn. “What’s really outstanding is the fact that 82 percent of employees contributed. That’s great recognition by our employees that in our community, we all ‘Live United’.”
Church Mutual Insurance Company offers specialized insurance for all denominations and insures more than twice as many religious organizations as its nearest competitor. Church Mutual is rated A (Excellent) by industry analyst A.M. Best and was named to the prestigious Ward’s Top 50 List in 2015.
