Motorists can expect to encounter daytime lane closures on northbound and southbound US 51 between the Wisconsin River Bridge (south of Merrill) and Lincoln County K, beginning on Monday, Aug. 24.
The lane closures are necessary for crews to complete routine bridge maintenance on five bridges. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH through the work zones.
All work is scheduled for completion before the end of the day, Friday, Aug. 28.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution in work zones and should be alert for slow moving vehicles. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
