Vehicle strikes bicycle on Cty. S near Tomahawk

On Sunday, Aug. 9, at approximately 8:12 a.m., Lincoln County Dispatch received a 911 call for a bicycle rider that was injured on Cty. S near the intersection of Curve Inn Road in the town of Bradley. Tomahawk EMS and Lincoln County deputies responded to the scene.
According to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office press release, evidence at the scene indicated the bicycle rider, identified as Joseph M. Lintereur, 59, was traveling north on Cty. S and was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling in the same direction.
Lintereur was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The driver that struck the bicycle called in to Lincoln County Dispatch shortly after the collision occurred to report the crash. That driver was located by the Tomahawk Police Dedpartment in the city of Tomahawk.
Alochol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
Lintereur’s injuries were not immediately known. The collision is still under investigation.
