On June 1, members of the Tomahawk Police Department were advised of an incident involving a volunteer track coach and a 16-year-old student of Tomahawk High School.
The investigation revealed that 23-year-old Colton J. Chase allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a female student. Based on the information that was obtained in the investigation, it was determined that Chase and the student had sexual relations on three separate occasions.
Chase faces three counts of sexual assault of a child by a school staff person or a person who works or volunteers with children. Chase was transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
There have been charged referred to the District Attorney’s office. The case remains under investigation by the Tomahawk Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tomahawk Police Department at 715-453-2121.
