After a successful first year the Fill the Gazebo Food Drive will return this year on Aug. 15. The public is invited to bring non-perishable food items, personal care items or monetary donations to the gazebo in Normal Park on that day from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
The food drive benefits the food pantries of Merrill and the Food For Kids program. To promote the event, organizers held a poster design contest among elementary school students.
