Michael “Mike” Lukens, age 58, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born July 17, 1956 in Oconomowoc to Lee W. and Gloria (Jackson) Lukens.
Mike attended High School in Oconomowoc. He loved listening to music and was a very good singer. Mike was also a talented guitar player. He took flying lessons years ago and enjoyed every time he was able to fly. In the summer, Mike spent much of his time outdoors fishing.
Survivors include his mother: Gloria Lukens, Merrill; five siblings: Susan Lukens, Kathleen (Lee) Welter, Judith (George) Westver, Brian Lukens and Tracy (John) Grzywacz; and 11 nieces & nephews: Tegan Thurston, Lee Krueger, Kristian Thurston, Luke Krueger, Sonya Mirus, Shawn Westver, Melanie and Laura Lukens, and Dustin, Nicole and Mitchell Grzywacz. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Lukens and his loving canine companion, Baby.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 at Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Greg Laska will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service, also at the funeral home. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
