Mason Carpentier, Gleason, recently received $3,500 as part of a benefit hosted on Dec. 6, 2014 by members from the Mid Wisconsin Chapter of Thrivent Financial. The funds will be used to help defray medical expenses and travel costs for Mason and his parents, Joe and Stephanie Carpentier. Two year old Mason was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on Oct. 7, 2014. He has received several Chemo treatments and undergone surgeries, appointments, and hospital stays. His treatment is ongoing.
Thrivent Financial members and other volunteers raised nearly $45,000 at a benefit for Mason and an additional $3,500 was provided by Thrivent Financial. Through its chapter programs, Thrivent Financial provides financial support and other resources for its members to come together to help their communities and congregations through fundraisers and service activities.
Family and close friends spearheaded the community service team which held the benefit for Mason on Dec. 6, 2014 at the Gleason Bowling Center. Music, food and much more were provided.
