Sabey a great sport

Jessica Sabey, a Merrill native and member of the 2014 UW-Whitewater women’s volleyball program, was selected to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
She led UW-Whitewater with 2.97 kills per set. The junior compiled the second-most kills with 344 and offered an attack percentage of .255. Sabey played opposite of Lauren Pfeifer (354 k) in 34 of 35 matches, creating a powerful outside tandem for the Warhawks.
The Warhawks – who earned at least a share of the WIAC title for the fifteenth championship in program history – split with UW-Stevens Point after both posted a 7-1 regular season league record. Point captured the tournament title.
