Public invited to free event to enroll in a health insurance plan

Looking to find out about health insurance options available in the Health Insurance Marketplace? Come to an enrollment event at T.B. Scott Free Library in Merrill on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 3:30- 7:30 p.m., sponsored by Bridge Community Health Clinic.
Federally and state-certified Certified Application Counselors (CACs) from Bridge Community Health Clinic will answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and help consumers enroll in the health insurance marketplace.
Those looking to enroll in an affordable health insurance plan should bring a copy of their income tax return, photo ID, SS card, and current pay stubs or income information for all members of the household.
“We want to make sure that consumers have credible in-person assistance to help them understand all their options,” said Ellen Humberston, Certified Application Counselor at Bridge Community Health Clinic. Bridge Clinic coordinates enrollment activities in Central Wisconsin. “We hope Lincoln County citizens will take advantage of this event and come out and see us.”
The 2015 open enrollment period begins on Nov. 15, 2014 and runs until Feb. 15, 2015. During this time, consumers will be able to enroll in a plan on the Marketplace for coverage year 2015.
T.B. Scott Library will host five open enrollment sessions during the 2014-2015 open enrollment period, on Nov. 20, Dec. 11, Jan. 8 and 24, and Feb. 9.  Call the library or visit www.tbscottlibrary.org for details.
Can’t make a session? Visit healthcare.gov or call Bridge Clinic at 715-848-4884 to speak to a CAC with questions about the enrollment process. Upcoming education and enrollment opportunities can be found by calling United Way’s 2-1-1.
