John O. Ruprecht, age 70, of Merrill, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
John was born September 15, 1944, in Merrill, son of the late Alvin and Mae (Price) Ruprecht. He married Mary McNamara on November 8, 1969, in Merrill. She survives. John had been a Pipefitter with the National Automatic Sprinkler Industry, Local 669. John enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing, coin collecting, casino trips, and spending time with his dog ‘Jack’.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ruprect of Merrill; his daughter, Lisa Ruprect of Merrill; his grandson, Tyler Ruprecht of Merrill; and his sister, Mary K. Peters of Merrill. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Timothy J. Ruprecht in April of 2009.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
