Beryl D. Baumgart, age 84, of Merrill, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Beryl was born October 17, 1930, in Merrill, son of the late Alvin and Lillian (Block) Baumgart. Beryl served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955, and had been stationed in Guam. He was a truck driver for Baumgart Waste Removal, Merrill.
Survivors include his sister, Mary (Merrill) Rutell, Milwaukee; five brothers, Larry Baumgart, Dick (Gay) Baumgart, Roger (Donna) Baumgart, and Virgil (Marilyn) Baumgart, all of Merrill, and Vern (Julie) Baumgart, Green Bay; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Kelly and Jon Leiskau and their family, all of Merrill. Besides his parents, Beryl is preceded in death by a sister and brother in law, Gloria and Robert Noel, and also by a sister in law, Bev Baumgart.
The funeral will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park with graveside military rites conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home.
