David E. Krueger, age 67, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 in Geneva, Ohio.
Dave was born Oct. 23, 1946 in Merrill, the son of Emil and Jane (Stachowiak) Krueger. He recently married his companion for the past 16 years, Linda Welker on April 8, 2014 in Geneva, Ohio.
Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and served in Vietnam. He worked for Owens-Illinois/PCA Tomahawk Mill for almost 30 years before moving to Ohio in 1998. He was a former member of the Tomahawk Fire Department and St. Mary Catholic Church. Dave loved hunting and horses, and was active with the Lincoln County Rodeo.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Krueger of Geneva, Ohio; parents, Emil and Jane Krueger of Tomahawk; children, Travis (Melissa) Krueger of Antigo, Kristin Beck of Merrill; step children, Paul Welker and Ted Welker, both of Ohio; siblings, Jim Krueger of Tomahawk, Jan (Dick) Huseby of Tomahawk, Julie Mielke of Tomahawk, John (Kari) Krueger of Tomahawk.
Dave is further survived by five grandchildren.
Funeral services for David E. Krueger will be held at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Father John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of Mass at noon. Burial with Military Honors will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
