Ella W. Lembke, age 97, formerly of Merrill, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Osseo Area Nursing Home, Osseo, WI.
Ella was born May 20, 1917, in Merrill, daughter of the late Carl and Albertina Luedtke. She married Elmer Lembke, and he preceded her in death in 1962. Ella had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Ella was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Victor Menebroeker of Rockland, MI; two grandsons, Adam Menebroeker of Wausau, and Tim (Heidi) Menebroeker of Osseo; and her special niece, Gail Lembke, Chatfield, MN. Besides her parents and husband, Ella is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Menebroeker.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home.
