The Lincoln County Health Department has announced the first annual environmental health award winners for the 2013 licensing year. The award program recognizes the special effort and work of establishments that serve food to the public.
Of the 126 establishments eligible for the awards, four met the strict criteria for achievement.
High Complexity class
Receiving the Initiative Award is Church Mutual Insurance Co. of Merrill. The Initiative Award requires exceptional attention to food safety and food handling. They had no violations and made effort to exceed minimum facility code standards.
Ed & Sharon’s of Merrill received the Special Recognition Award. The award requires excellent food handling practices and no violations.
Moderate Complexity class
Receiving the Initiative Award is Harrison Oasis of Tomahawk. The Initiative Award requires exceptional attention to food safety and food handling, with no violations and an effort to exceed minimum facility code standards.
Checkered Churn of Merrill received the Special Recognition Award. The award requires excellent food handling practices and no violations.
