Search warrant leads to meth bust in Tomahawk
Tomahawk Police Chief Al Elvins announced that on Thursday, Aug. 28, the Tomahawk Police Department executed a state search warrant at a residence located in the city of Tomahawk.
The search warrant was the result of a three and a half month investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine.
The search yielded multiple packages of methamphetamine, U.S currency and numerous items of paraphernalia. As a result, 27-year-old Eugene C. Castellano was taken into custody on multiple felony charges including Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Drug Dwelling and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
According to court records, as of Tuesday afternoon Castellano remains in the Lincoln County Jail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Lincoln County Circuit Court on Wednesday morning.
Chief Elvins stated the arrest is part of a cooperative effort by his department and the North Central Drug Enforcement Task Force (NORDEG).
