Summer library program winding down

T. B. Scott Free Library’s Fizz, Boom, Read! reading program for age 3 through grade 5 wraps up this week. Friday, July 25, is the last day for children to bring in completed reading cards for spins on the prize wheel.
Even though the prize wheel will be put away, the library encourages all youth to read and explore the world of science during the rest of the summer. Thank you to parents and caregivers who made it possible for children to participate in the reading program and attend special summer events.
Local sponsors, who funded the special summer library events, included Merrill Noon Optimists, Church Mutual Insurance Company, River Valley Bank, Associated Bank, Merrill Federal Savings & Loan, Park City Credit Union, Waves Full Service Salon and Spa, Wisconsin Valley Library Service and the Friends of the Library.
The final session of Lunch Bunch for grades 3 to 5 will meet on Tuesday, July 29, 12-1:15 p.m., in the community room with science-themed activities.
Registration is open for Book Buzz, an exciting new book club opportunity for grades 3 to 5, scheduled for Tuesdays, Aug. 5 and 19. The club will meet in the library community room from 5:30-7 p.m. Book club activities and discussion will be led by a team of 4-H and library teen volunteers.
Teen and adult summer reading programs continue into August. For details on library events and activities, visit www.tbscottlibrary.org or call 715-536-7191.
