Deputies are investigating and are seeking the public’s help in solving a rash of theft cases on Lake Alexander north and west of Merrill. On Friday, a seasonal resident reported a theft from his pontoon boat which was docked at an address on Von Besser Drive. The victim reported some time after the Fourth of July he had a tackle box, small hand tools and four fishing rods stolen from his covered boat. A short time later, another resident reported that he had a fishing net stolen from his boat while another reported an aluminum ladder stolen from theirs. All thefts occurred between the Fourth of July and Friday.
