Vehicles flipped in city crash

At 6:17 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Third Street and Pier Street for a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Responding officers found one vehicle on its side in the middle of the intersection and another vehicle on its roof on the sidewalk. All parties were able to exit the vehicles on their own. The investigating officers determined that the vehicle traveling southbound on Pier Street failed to stop at the stop sign, striking the westbound vehicle. Three occupants of the vehicles were transported by Merrill Fire Department ambulance to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the one vehicle will be cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
