Linda K. Langhoff

Linda K. Langhoff, age 63, of Schofield, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Hospice House in Wausau. 
She was born March 23, 1951 in Merrill to the late Nathan and Margaret (Godleski) Cornish. She and August Langhoff were united in marriage April 24, 1982 in Hamburg. He preceded her in death in December of 2007.
Linda was a graduate of Merrill Senior High School. She worked many years at the Merrill Bean Cannery in the cleaning line. Linda loved camping and enjoyed trips to the Eau Claire Dells and Council Grounds where she enjoyed taking in the scenery and the wildlife that went with it, birds and fish were her favorites to watch. Linda also enjoyed drawing and painting. She was an avid coffee drinker and enjoyed a fresh cup every morning. Linda loved playing cards and dice with her friends and family whom she so enjoyed spending time with. She also liked the occasional trip to the casino. Linda belonged to Royal Neighbors in Wausau.
Survivors include her five children: Rochelle Benes, Texas, August Langhoff, Schofield, Sarah Samson, Oklahoma, Carla (Travis) Muenchow, Schofield and Edwin Langhoff, Texas; three grandchildren: Timothy Benes, Danielle Benes and Zacharia Samson; significant other: Robert “Bob” Scheinoha, Schofield; siblings: Lyn (Harvey) Leighton, Illinois, Les Cornish, Schofield, and Loretta (Don) Schultz, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother LeRoy Cornish, ex-husband August, nephew Andy Cornish and grandson Austin Muenchow.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Waid Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Smallman will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.  until the time of service also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. A pot luck luncheon will follow the burial.
