The Wausau Conservatory, along with the Wisconsin River Valley Jazz Society, is pleased to announce the Wausau Area Jazz Festival concert will be taking place on Saturday, March 8 in the Merrill High School auditorium. The 3 p.m. concert is free and open to the public.
This year’s concert will also feature four area jazz bands from these high schools: Merrill High School, D. C. Everest, Wausau East, and Newman High School.
The Wausau Jazz Festival was started in 2004. The festival was started by The River Valley Jazz Society, founded in 2001 for the purpose of promoting participation in jazz music in Central Wisconsin.
