Norbert B. ?Norbie? Doering

Norbert B. ‘Norbie’ Doering, age 78, of Gleason, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014. 
Norbie was born June 5, 1935, in Tomahawk, son of the late Harry G. and Catherine (Bloechl) Doering. He married Judith Neumann on Nov. 11, 2000. She survives. 
Norbie was a self-employed truck driver and the owner/operator of “Doering Xpress.” He enjoyed snowmobiling and visiting with his many friends. 
Survivors include his wife, Judith Doering, Gleason; one step daughter, Brandi Neumann, Merrill; three stepsons, Paul Neumann, Gleason, Adam Neumann, Wausau, and Blake Neumann, Merrill; five grandchildren, Brad (Jamie) Emmanuel, Merrill, Jody (Lindsey) Emmanuel, Massachusetts, Greg (Tara Josiger) Emmanuel, Merrill, Stacey (Luke) DeBroux, Colorado, and Tim (Erica Schmoll) Myers, Wausau; a step son, Duane Plamann, Merrill; three step grandchildren, Lilli, Ginni, and Dino; two great grandchildren, Shaylyn and Leo; two sisters, Elaine (Lester) Sukow and Dorothy Kanitz, both of Merrill; and two brothers, Harry (Joyce) Doering, Jr., Elk Grove, IL, and Leroy Doering, Medford. Norbie is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Catherine Doering, Sr.; a daughter, Mary Plamann; an infant son, Michael Doering; a sister in law, Nancy Doering; a brother in law, Marvin Kanitz; and a nephew, Russell Sukow. 
A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon until 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Gleason Lions Club House, located on Bradley Street in Gleason. Burial will take place in the spring in the Doering Cemetery, Town of Schley. 
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. Judy wishes all of Norbie’s friends attend the celebration and “bring a dish to pass” in his memory.
