Jerome ?Jerry? A. Pickruhn

Jerome “Jerry” A. Pickruhn, 74, Marathon, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014.
He was born Sept. 25, 1939, son of Silvaline (Brandt) Pickruhn, Wausau and the late Harley Pickruhn. On Dec. 27, 1961, he married Carol Punke at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. She survives.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of the town of Hamburg. He was a partner in Urban Construction Company from 1978 until 1998 when he retired. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was an avid sports fan, spending his time watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage playing cribbage on the deck with friends and family. The most important thing in life to him was his family, which he cared for and loved deeply.
Jerry proudly served his country in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Pickruhn, Marathon; his mother, Silvaline Pickruhn, Wausau; his children, David Pickruhn, Marathon, Barbara (Korey) Kaldunski, Merrill and Dale (Rhonda) Pickruhn, Wausau; four grandchildren, Tarrah (Anthony) Bennish, Briah Kaldunski and Megan and Logan Pickruhn.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Cyrus.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Peter Lutheran Church,  Marathon. The Rev. Philip Bogen officiated. Burial is in the church cemetery.
