Robert ?Bob? A. Green

Robert “Bob” A. Green, age 65, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, December 16, 2013.
He was born July 27, 1948 in Ashland, WI to the late Philip and Mary (Adriansen) Green. He and Susan Hall were united in marriage on June 30, 1973 in Sheldon, WI.
Bob was a 1966 graduate of DiPatewau Catholic High School in Ashland. He then went on to North Central Technical College, graduating in 1970. Bob first started working in Milwaukee as a TV serviceman before he learned to install counter tops. He started at Marathon Electric in 1972 and retired after 40+ years of service. While working at Marathon Electric he also worked part-time for DC Motors in Merrill for a number of years. Bob enjoyed camping at Pelican Lake and fishing with the kids. He loved hunting in Sheldon on Sue’s parents’ farm with his children. Bob liked ‘tinkering’ on cars and always looked forward to a good Friday Fish Fry and a cold Pabst beer. He and Sue would enjoy four-wheeling on the trails at Lincoln Hills and in the past he was an avid bowler. Bob enjoyed watching the Packers and never missed a family tradition: to make “pasties” for the kids. Bob was always there for his kids – even if that meant he did without. He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Weston.
Bob is survived by his wife: Sue Green, Merrill; four children: Jason (Shelly) Green, Wausau, Clint Green, Merrill, Jonathan Green, Merrill and Kelly (Kevin) Kielpinski, Rothschild: eight grandchildren: Tyler, Brett, Skie-Ann, Brady, Blaze, Alex, Trystan and Colton; two brothers: Dan (Ann) Green and Jim (Dawn) Green, all of Ashland; one sister: Mary (Mike) Lucas, Glidden, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 20, 2013 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson Street, Schofield. Rev. Ray  Connor will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday, December 19 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 9:30 until the time of service at the church on Friday. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Bob’s name to the American Heart Association. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
