Lorie Lynn Hightower, 46, of Birnamwood, passed away on Oct. 15, 2013, at her home.
Lorie was born in Irma on May 13, 1967. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1985 where she enjoyed gymnastics and track. She continued on to study Medical Sciences at MATC, Madison, and Psychology at Salt Lake Community College, Salt Lake City, Utah, from 2002 to 2005.
Lorie worked at Youth & Family Services of Utah, Youth Counselor, Weber Human Services Mental Health-Substance Abuse Services, Youth Counselor, Ogden, Utah, Learning Services Corporation, Supervisor/Manager, Riverton, Utah, Home & Apartments of TBI or ABI clients.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, special friend Paul Diers and her dog “Doodles.”
Lorie is survived by her mother, Linda Teschner, Merrill; brother, Sam (Kathy) Hightower, Wittenberg; son, Kodi Genrich (Crystal Erdman), Merrill; daughter, Samantha Kasten, Portland, OR; daughter, Kallie Cecil, Dickinson, ND; granddaughters, Nola and Bella; grandson, Devin; nieces, Tamara Hightower, Brittney Hightower, Amber Hightower, Haley Hightower and Brianne Kluck; grandfather Ed Teschner; and many other family and friends .
Lorie is preceded in death by her father Samuel N. Hightower Sr., grandmother Leona Teschner, great grandparent and cousins.
A Celebration Of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at Sam and Kathy Hightower’s place, 603 S. Church St., Wittenberg, WI 54499.
