Merrill VFW Post 1638 & Auxiliary Voice of Democracy scholarship contest

Student in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 are invited to take part in the Voice of Democracy scholarship contest with a first place State competition winning a trip to Washington DC and a chance to compete for the top prize on the national VFW level for a $30,000 scholarship. To enter, submit a 3-5 minute recorded essay in CD format addressing this year’s theme “Why I’m Optimistic About Our Nations Future?” Complete rules and entry form can be obtained by calling Alicia Weix at 715-370-2096, Tracy Jopek at 715-536-0540, or Russ Iwen 715-432-7188 or by visiting VFW.org. All high school age students are eligible to participate.
Program brochures have been given to Jessica Westphal and resources to record your essay and assistance in recording are available with special arrangements.
