Thomas A. Dettmering, age 59, formerly of Merrill, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Tennessee.
Tom was born Sept. 10, 1953, in Merrill, son of the late Lester and Mildred (Wendland) Dettmering. Tom was a 1971 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. He has been employed as a machine operator at the former Wausau Paper Company, Brokaw.
Survivors include his children, Bobbie Dettmering, Plover, and Nick Dettmering, Merrill; four grandsons, Kamron, Russell, Arin, and Andy; three sisters, Linda (Mrs. Scott) Doerr and Mary Wilke, both of Merrill, and Betty (Mrs. Paul) VanDerWeerd, Irma; and one brother, Phillip (Virginia) Dettmering, Hartford, WI.
There will be no services at the current time. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
