The Board of Directors of Tomahawk Main Street, Inc. announces the hiring of a New Director. Christine Vorpagel of Merrill began her tenure as director for Tomahawk Main Street on Monday, Aug. 26.
A hiring committee reviewed several candidates for this halftime position. Christine met many business owners and interested people at an informal Main Street meeting at Bambino’s on Monday evening, Aug. 5, where those present were asked to vote or express a written opinion. The Main Street Board decided to offer Vorpagel the position.
President AJ Theiler noted, “Christine comes to this position with maturity and experience in promotions that we look forward to putting to work for the businesses in the Main Street area and all of Tomahawk.”
Jim Wise, Vice President says, “She seems to understand this (Tomahawk Main Street) is a cooperative effort between the city, businesses and many volunteers.”
Vorpagel has past experience in retail, media and her own business, Dynamo Creative Marketing and Media. She looks forward to meeting and working with the many volunteers, city leaders and businesses that have made Tomahawk Main Street the great asset it is.
