On Saturday, Aug. 24, hundreds of children and families visited T.B. Scott Library to pick up backpacks filled with school supplies. Through the generous donation of individuals, organizations, and businesses, many young students are off to a great start for the 2013-2014 school year. Organizers reported overwhelming support for the project again this year.
Families that qualify for free school lunch under federal guidelines who are new to the district or those that received letters from MAPS and were unable to pick up their backpacks on Saturday should call Debi McGregor at the Family Resource Center at 715-539-9228.
