Barbara L. Zangl

Barbara L. Zangl, (nee Young) age 77, of Big Cedar Lake, WI passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at The Lighthouse of West Bend.
She was born on June 7, 1936 in Merrill to the late Ray and Gertrude (nee Cohrs) Young, and graduated from Merrill High School in the class of 1955. On Sept. 7, 1957, Barbara was united in marriage to Phillip Zangl in Merrill. Together they made their home on Big Cedar Lake.
Barbara was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Slinger. She enjoyed traveling with her family, boating, reading, and especially spending time with her children and grand-children.
She is survived by four children, Michael (Bonnie) Zangl of Hartford, Steve (Wendy) Zangl of Campbellsport, Laura (Jay) Faber of West Bend, and Lynn (Rick) Zerwinski of West Bend; six grandchildren, Marc Pyne, Lindsey Zangl, Nick and Luke Zangl, Mitch and Morgan Zerwinski; two sisters, Laraine (Tim) Peterson of Waleska, GA, and Dodie (John) Rockelmann of McAllen, TX; brother, Steven (Lavonna) Young of Merrill; three sisters-in-law, Alice Zangl of Antigo, Mary (Randy) Risch of Milwaukee, and Joann Zangl of Shelton, WA; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Beverly) Zangl of Sussex; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip in 2011; parents Ray & Gertrude Young; two sisters, Marilyn Young, and Marie Beasley; brother, Richard “Dick” Young; and brother-in-law, Harold Zangl.
At Barbara’s request, private family services will be held with Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating.
Memorials to Serenity Hospice in Barbara’s name or Horizon Hospice in Phil’s name are appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sammis, Dr. Bai, Dr. Geroulis, Rev. Richard Stoffel, and the Staffs of The Lighthouse, Serenity Hospice, and Horizon Hospice.
