One lottery winner comes forward, other prize unclaimed

One big Wisconsin Lottery winner who purchased their ticket in Merrill has claimed their prize, while the other remains unclaimed.
Kelly Magray of Merrill won half of the $164,000 daily jackpot in the June 24 Badger 5 daily jackpot game. She purchased her winning ticket at Pine Ridge Convenience Store in Merrill. Magray claimed her $82,000 prize on Tuesday, June 25. After taxes, she received a little over $55,000.
On Saturday, June 22, a ticket sold at Drew’s Piggly Wiggly in Merrill matched all six winning numbers in the Wisconsin Lottery’s Megabucks drawing to win the game’s $1.4 million jackpot. That prize had not been claimed as of Tuesday. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Madison. Once the winning ticket is validated by the Lottery, the winner will have up to 60 days to choose the $1.4 million annuity jackpot, or the jackpot’s $953,000 lump sum cash payment.
